For too long, Orléans East-Cumberland has been shortchanged on investment while our communities have paid the price. Our quality of life is headed in the wrong direction and it's time to close the funding gap.I'm running because I believe every corner of Ward 1 deserves a strong voice at City Hall. Government should work as hard as the people it serves and our leadership in Orléans East-Cumberland should reflect that.As a mother, educator, and organizer I understand the importance of service to the community. I know that together we can build a stronger future for Orléans East-Cumberland. I didn't step into politics to watch from the sidelines. I stepped forward to bring a strong voice to City Hall and fight for our local priorities every single day.

After eight years of the status quo in Orléans East-Cumberland our roads are less safe, our bus network is broken and families have to travel even farther to access the programs we rely on. I've listened to residents across our Ward and there is a disconnect between what our communities are asking for and what we are getting instead.I'm running because I believe every corner of Ward 1 deserves a strong voice at City Hall.

When my husband and I moved to Ottawa we chose Orléans to live and raise our son. We were so excited to discover every unique corner of Orléans East-Cumberland. From Princess Louise Falls in Fallingbrook and the natural wilderness of Cardinal Creek to the rural charm of Cumberland Village and all the vibrant neighbourhoods in between - it didn't take long for this wonderful, bilingual community to feel like home.

About

I was raised in Toronto and studied at OCAD University, a national and global leader in art and design. Early in my career I exhibited work as an emerging artist then accepted a position in the Education Department at the Royal Ontario Museum, where I taught for a decade.Since moving to Ottawa, my family and I have planted strong roots in the vibrant community of Orléans with my son well on his way to becoming bilingual. I started Design By BDG - an interior design consultancy - and got active at the local level. In 2024 I was honoured as a recipient of the Orléans Leading Women and Girls Recognition Award for my dedication and positive impact on the community.Strong leadership and service to the community have always been important to me. For the past three years I've served on the Executive Board of the Orléans Federal Liberal Association as well as the Executive Board of the Orléans Provincial Liberal Association. I have also served as Policy Chair for the Orléans Federal Liberal Women's Club and as President of the Orléans Provincial Liberal Women's Association.As a parent and advocate for community safety I coordinate the Fallingbrook Neighbourhood Watch Program and serve as an active member of the East Ottawa Neighbourhood Watch Program Committee.I am so proud to be part of this community. There is real strength in our diversity and in the way we support one another as neighbours.
